Garrett hails from the piney woods of East Texas. He grew up playing the gamut of little league sports until high school, when he realized the breadth of what competitive running had to offer. In college, Garrett went on to compete for, NCAA Division II, Dallas Baptist University and then on to, NCAA Division I, University of North Texas. Specializing in cross county, the 3k steeplechase, and the 5k, he was a 4 year varsity letterman and three time all-conference. He enjoys trail running and currently has his sights on the 2016 Boston Marathon after qualifying at the 2014 Rocket City Marathon. You will most likely find Garrett sporting the New Balance Fresh Foam with Carbon Superfeet and one of many Nike dry-fit shirts.
Lauren, an Austin native, grew up leading an active lifestyle playing sports including lacrosse and soccer. Always very aware of health and fitness, Lauren never fully appreciated running until she met Garrett and completed her first half marathon in 2011, the Outer Banks Half Marathon. More focused on the relational aspects of running than the competitive, you are more apt to find Lauren enjoying a cup of tea with a friend than running a double with Garrett. She currently digs the Brooks Pure Project shorts and the Brooks Glycerin with Berry Superfeet.
Garrett and Lauren’s paths collided in the mountains of Buena Vista, Colorado while living out their dreams of guiding whitewater rafting and backpacking trips. Soon after, they made their way to Nashville for several years and are thrilled to get back to their home country of Texas to serve the running community in San Antonio. Feel free to stop by the stores sometime and meet them!
