We are proud to support the San Antonio Preservation 5k Series! Each run is a non-timed 5k tour of various parts of our city. Produced by the Office of Historic Preservation and lead by Fleet Feet Sports, all levels of running and walking is welcomed to participate in exploring the history of San Antonio with us. Get outside, get fit, and enjoy our historic City with the SApreservation 5k series. Each event features a guided run through some of San Antonio’s most historic locations. Runners and walkers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate Registration for each tour is $25 and includes a shirt or $10 no shirt Register for all four 5k tours for $40 and receive a shirt at the first tour. All COSA employees are eligible to receive Virgin Pulse Healthmiles for each event.
March 5 - SA Water Works (Lions Field; 2809 Broadway) San Antonio is known as the River City for a reason. The spring-fed San Antonio River was the life source for early inhabitants and the primary water supply for our growing city in the 19th Century. Many remnants of this early history of water works can be found today in Brackenridge Park. Join OHP and Fleet Feet Sports for a guided running / walking tour that will explore the history of the San Antonio River from the Spanish Colonial era to the present day. REGISTER HERE
This is an approximate 5k course beginning and ending at Lions Field, 2809 Broadway. The Water Works tour is the first of FOUR guided running / walking tours offered for 2016.
