“What is the best running shoe”
- it’s a question we are constantly asked. The answer? There isn’t one. Every person is unique; you move differently than everyone else. Therefore, its impossible to say that one shoe meets the criteria for the holy grail of all shoes.
There’s a lot that goes into finding a proper running shoe. As a specialist in this field, I can tell you that no two people have the same foot, and no two people will interact with their shoes the same way. We go to great lengths to ensure that as many variables are taken into consideration as we uncover what may pair well with an individual’s biomechanics and personal tastes.
If you’ve never been into one of our stores, it goes something like this:
From there, we’ll give you the scoop on ways to protect yourself from blisters (awesome socks), injury (foam rollers / inserts), properly fitting sports bras (which should be replaced as often as your shoes), and a myriad of other pro-tips suited to your needs and wants.
Finally, after hearing your input and discussing everything we’ve learned, we’ll go back and find some shoes that specifically address the way your body moves, the activities you engage in, and your personal preferences. The result is typically a resounding appreciation for the time and effort spent in ensuring that you have the tools you need to put your best foot forward and continue to live your lifestyle.
As you can see, with all these variables, there’s no way there could ever be a perfect shoe for every person.
